there's an app for that

busy weekend is almost over.

today was probably the best, mostly because i had the least amount of stuff to do (other than homework, of course). church this morning was good. especially when pierre started singing pants on the ground. after that came back and wrote a paper -- my second one this weekend-- and studied some for art history. around 2:30 i went over to sara's apartment to leave to go downtown. my small group has sort of paired up with another one that has previously "adopted" a refugee family in rochester. they visit them every sunday and hang out for a few hours and help out around the house. today i got to go! so much fun. the family has 5 boys and there were a bunch of neighbor boys over so the house was FULL. tons of energy! the communication is a little bit tough only because not all of them speak/understand english. i talked for a while with the oldest boy, he's so sweet and wanted to tell me all about his love of computers and information. and a song about girls? again, communication little rough. all of the boys range in age from 3 to 18 so it's a house full. we ate dinner with them, played some soccer, and watched them play video games. some of the boys knew how to play guitar so they sang for us. two social workers were there the whole time with us and helped the dad figure out the bus route so that he can start working. definitely can't wait to go back another sunday. oh yeah, there are pictures but i have to get them from someone else first.

tomorrow is busy from 9 am until 10 pm, literally every minute booked. art history test. photo critique. printing. work. 4 classes. small group. i'll be ready for bed after all of that :)

also, here's a story from cnn incase you didn't already see. crazy stuff.

My, my, you lead a wonderfully interestimg life and it
is so great l to have you share it with me. You expand my world. My world is also full of things that
never have been and it keeps me fully engaged just
trying to figure it out. In the meantime - wouldn't
it be great to be at The Kennedy Center tonight??????
We will hear about it. Love you. Take care Hugs, Nana
