week ten = brain dead

week ten has two days left, i think i can make it.

i've never felt quite so brain dead. i could have used about a million cups of coffee over the past three days.

ONE class left for the quarter year! just need to redo two project for flash -- the one is pretty much done just needs adjustments, the other needs some more serious help. one test tomorrow, one test next wednesday and one test on thursday. and then i'm DONE DONE DONE. for real.

this year has just really been exhausting. i was trying to think about the best way to sum it up today and that's the best word. exhausting. frustrating. don't get me wrong, there have been plenty of good moments. ironically most include the admissions office is some way or another. or hockey. but there have also been more than a handful of times where i have wanted to rip my/someone else's hair out. so that's that.

i'm sick and tired of dealing with certain people. explanations just don't give the situation justice. i drew a picture after the meeting today to explain to someone what my brain felt like and it was a pile of scribbles that would have included a bunch of bad words. just. can't even deal with them anymore. i don't care what they do. i don't want to hear from them ever again. never ever. i made that quite clear. it came out something like "oh well, i won't have to go through your useless organization ever again because i'm going to find my own dang housing thank you very much and I cannot wait for two years to pass so i do not have to deal with your nonsense ever again" when i have to turn in my keys at the end of the year, i'm going to toss my key at the door so i don't have to walk in the office.

it's funny because we just had a lecture in newsediting about how we should be careful what we write so you don't "burn bridges" oops. but apparently my opinions don't entirely count anyway, so i think we'll be okay.

now let's end with some flowers because everyone loves pretty things.

friends

no voice zone

yesterday my throat was hurting a bit, it felt kind of scratchy. by the time i woke up this morning i had almost no voice. unfortunately i had class from 9 until 4:30 today with no breaks so that was kind of yucky. i pretty much feel like i got run over by a truck and my voice is non-existent. i decided to go to the health clinic after class-- it's pretty nifty i guess, you just wander in and make an appointment. good news, i don't have the pig flu! haha not that it was in question but it's good news anyway. turns out my ridiculously sore throat & lack of voice is all due to severe allergies. apparently rochester is the 4th worst place in the US for allergies-- leave it to me to pick something like that. oh well, i'm eating lots of cough drops it's convenient that there is lots of sign language around here because then i don't have to talk!

in more important news... THE CAPS WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

all good things come to an end

just got back to rochester from a weeklong spring break at home! ashley was able to come home with me too so I got to show her all of the exciting things to see in maryland and dc. ironically the day we flew home from rochester was the beginning of the biggest snowstorm maryland has had in three years (only 6 inches of snow) but still funny-- or annoying. eventually it warmed up and we were able to have 75 degree weather today!! too bad when we landed in rochester today it was 38 degrees, foggy and rainy. oh well.

this week included: two separate trips to chipotle, a Caps game at the verizon center with Amanda!, a day full of wandering around DC, a second trip to DC with dad, seeing jimmy (Alison's new adorable dog), visiting with Barb, Joe and Eric this weekend, mini golf and batting cages yesterday, Sarah's volleyball tournament this morning and other various fun things.

tomorrow is the first day of spring quarter which means... new classes! i actually only have one class tomorrow so it shouldn't be too bad. class 9-12, work 12-4.
